Boyd Companies is a Privately owned Mechanical Contracting Company serving New York thru North Carolina is seeking an experienced Plumbing Foreman for the North Carolina Office.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for coordinating, planning, laying out, participating & supervising plumbing work on our commercial job sites. Our Designers and Draftsmen provide detailed prints that our Foremen use to get the work done on time and according to plan.

An experienced Plumbing Foreman will manage projects for clients throughout North Carolina and interact daily with employees, suppliers, subcontractors & the Project Management Team.

The successful candidate will be accountable & responsible for Projects of varied scopes and sizes. The candidate will Manage & work closely with various departments, to ensure customer satisfaction and proper execution of project agenda.

 

Primary Duties:

      • Work directly with Project Managers to ensure project objectives, goals and timelines are met.
      • Reading and understanding blueprints, drawings, and plans to understand the layout/direction of job.
      • Mentor Journeymen, Apprentices, & Helpers to gain knowledge & accountability.
      • Build relationships with GC’s, Company employees, & our subcontractors.
      • Coordinate daily workforce to meet the project’s requirements.
      • Provide an accurate two-week look ahead for materials, sub-contractors & labor.
      • Identify and lead crews in efficient installation processes.
      • Responsible for keeping accurate logs and daily job site reports.
      • Handle onsite incidents and emergencies in a proactive manner.
      • Maintains a clean and safe work environment with the proper use of tools and related equipment.

Qualifications:

      • Preferred 2 years’ experience as a Foreman.
      • Minimum 5 years experience in the plumbing trade.
      • Thorough knowledge of plumbing theory, methods, practices, tools, & equipment of the trade.
      • Organizational skills to process required jobsite paperwork.
      • Strong leadership skills.
      • Ability to take initiative and problem solve.
      • Mechanical skills and attention to detail with the ability to sketch, read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals.
      • Strong Communication skills.
      • Travel for projects out of our Immediate Area is necessary.
